2. Overview
This is a static website without user accounts. We do not use cookies, analytics or tracking services, or advertising networks. Fonts and images are loaded from our own server. We process personal data only in the cases described below.
3. Hosting and delivery of the website
The website runs on a virtual server provided by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. The server is located in a data centre in Germany. Hostinger processes the data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR).
When you access the website, your browser necessarily transmits data to the server, in particular your IP address, the requested address and browser and system information (user agent). We process this data only to deliver the requested page to your device. We do not keep access logs, and your IP address is not stored. The server only records technical errors, such as configuration faults; these error logs do not contain visitors' IP addresses and are overwritten automatically once they reach a fixed size.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and error-free delivery of the website.
4. Contact form
If you write to us using the contact form, we process your name, email address, phone number, message, your consent declaration, and the language and address of the page from which you submitted the form. All fields are required, because otherwise we cannot assign and answer your inquiry. Alternatively, you can contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
The information is transmitted in encrypted form to automation software (n8n) that we operate ourselves on the server in Germany mentioned above. It forwards the inquiry by email to our Google Workspace mailbox (see section 5), from which we reply to you. Execution data stored in n8n is deleted automatically after no more than 14 days.
We use the data exclusively to handle your inquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, where your inquiry concerns lessons or a quote, the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by email to info@time-to-sing.com.
Retention period: see section 5.
5. Contact by email or phone, email mailbox
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where lessons or a quote are concerned, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering inquiries).
For our email mailbox, including inquiries received via the contact form, we use Google Workspace, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR). A transfer to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR); in addition, Google has concluded EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR).
Retention period: inquiries that do not lead to a contract are deleted no later than 6 months after the conversation has ended, or earlier if you withdraw your consent. If a lesson contract is concluded, we store the data for the duration of the contractual relationship. Documents subject to statutory retention obligations (such as invoices and business correspondence) are kept for the period prescribed by Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code (Abgabenordnung), which is up to ten years.
6. WhatsApp
The website contains a link to WhatsApp. No data is transmitted to WhatsApp when you simply visit our website. Only when you click the link are you forwarded to WhatsApp, operated by WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland, where WhatsApp's privacy policy applies. If you message us on WhatsApp, we process your phone number, profile name and messages to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Section 5 applies accordingly to the retention period.
7. YouTube videos
Some blog articles include videos from YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When the page loads, only a preview image is loaded from our own server; no connection to YouTube is established yet. Only when you click the video is it loaded via the domain youtube-nocookie.com (privacy-enhanced mode). In doing so, your IP address, the page visited and technical browser information in particular are transmitted to YouTube; YouTube may use cookies or similar technologies during playback. If you are logged in to Google, YouTube may associate the use with your account.
The legal basis is your consent, given by clicking the video (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG). You can withdraw it by not starting any further videos and reloading the page. A transfer to Google LLC in the USA is possible; the safeguards described in section 5 apply. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
8. Browser storage
If you close the privacy notice at the bottom of the page, we store this choice in your browser's session storage (sessionStorage) so that the notice does not reappear on every page. This entry contains no personal data, is not transmitted to us, and is deleted automatically when you close the browser tab. Storing it is strictly necessary for this function you requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). We do not set cookies.
9. Links to other websites
The website contains plain links, including to Instagram, Facebook, musical1.de, Crew United, Google Maps, the App Store and Google Play. They are not embedded; no data is transmitted to these providers when you visit our website. Only when you click a link do you leave our website, and the respective provider is responsible for any further processing.
10. Your rights
You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- access (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR),
- withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
Please send your request to info@time-to-sing.com or to the postal address in section 1.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany, www.datenschutz-berlin.de.
11. Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. No particular form is required; the easiest way is an email to info@time-to-sing.com.
12. Automated decisions and obligation to provide data
We do not make automated decisions or carry out profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. You are under no legal or contractual obligation to provide us with personal data. However, the website cannot be delivered without the technically necessary connection data, and we cannot answer your inquiry without contact details.
13. Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website, the services used or the legal situation change. The version published here applies.
